EMBED CODES — As the VA leans on automation, errors in veterans' claims soar
The Beam, November 3, 2026
==============================================================================

HOW TO USE THIS FILE

This story has two interactive charts. Each one is hosted by The Beam and is
embedded as an iframe followed by a short <script>.

- Paste each embed (the iframe AND the <script> under it) together into ONE
Custom HTML / Raw HTML / Embed block in your CMS. Do not split the iframe and
  the script across two blocks.
- Place each chart where the bracketed marker appears in the article text
([CHART EMBED 1 — ... — goes here]), then delete the marker. Delete the
markers even if you choose not to run the charts.
- The <script> lets each chart resize itself to fit its content. It is safe
to include on a page that has both charts, and only one copy of the resize
  listener is installed.
- Some CMSs (WordPress.com free tier, some locked-down corporate CMSs) strip
<script> tags. On those sites the charts will still display, but they will
not auto-resize. The fixed heights in the iframe tags are sized to fit most
screens, so you don't need to adjust anything.
- The chart titles, notes and source lines are built into each chart. You do
not need to add a separate caption.
